Mary is a Clinical Psychologist with nearly 20 years of specialised experience in child development, paediatric sleep, child and family therapy, attachment issues, behavioural support, and parenting strategies. She works with babies, children and adults to improve their mental health, relationships and coping abilities – to support the health and happiness of families that are growing and changing.

Mary has spent time in both private and public sector roles, including the Child and Family Health Service (CAFHS) where she provided therapy to families with young children, within school settings (providing both assessment and therapy), specialised paediatric psychology practices, and a specialist sleep clinic for babies, toddlers, and children. Mary has conducted research at the University of South Australia, which investigated the impact of sleep deprivation on the abilities of young children and has supervised child development research at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Mary has always been passionate about working with babies, toddlers, and early school aged children because she knows about the life-long positive change that can be made during these early years, for children and their families. It is a privilege to support families during this very special and important life stage.

Mary is a source of hope for parents navigating sleep issues, tantrums, anxiety, separation & attachment problems, and behavioural challenges. Mary has expertise supporting both typically developing children as well as those with developmental difficulties/differences and chronic medical challenges. Mary also has expertise working with children with advanced development and those who have been diagnosed as gifted. Mary has worked extensively with children managing a wide range of co-morbid medical and developmental conditions and understands the necessitiy of a tailored approach to treatment for each individual. She works to empower both parent and child, enabling positive, long-term solutions that can be carried throughout life. 

Mary has trained in a range of therapeutic modalities to ensure that she can tailor each therapy session to the unique needs of you, your child, and your family. Mary’s expertise includes the use of family therapy, attachment therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness therapy, and hypnotherapy. She also has extensive expertise & training regarding gentle and responsive sleep interventions that take into consideration the physical, developmental, emotional, and attachment needs of the child.

Mary is involved in the Psychology Board of Australia, as a registered Clinical Psychology Supervisor and is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society’s College of Clinical Psychologists.
