Referrals & Fees.

  • Fees

Mary’s standard rate for a 50-minute therapy session is $240 - this is $71 less than the rate recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

The total out of pocket cost can be reduced significantly if you are eligable for a Medicare rebate. See the next section for information about Medicare Rebates.

  • Medicare Rebates

Due to her specialisation as a Clinical Psychologist, appointments wth Mary that are arranged under a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), are eligable for the highest possible rebate for Psychological Services through Medicare.

If you are seeing Mary under a MHCP, medicare will refund $141.85 to your bank account.

This means that your total out of pocket cost will be a maximum of $98.15 per session (after medicare rebate is applied)

  • Payment

Full payment ($240) is required at the time of the appointment through a credit card stored online.

Any available rebates can be claimed after full payment is made.

Please note that payment that is not received on the day will incur a late fee.

Follow up appointments will be cancelled if payment is outstanding.

  • Can I see Mary without a referral?

Yes absolutely! Anyone is welcome to book an apointment as a private client.

You do not need a referral to access our services, unless you would like to claim the medicare rebate, in which case you would need to talk to your GP about whether you are eligable for a MHCP.

  • Can I use my private health insurance?

If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be eligible to claim a rebate by quoting code ‘200’. Rebates differ among Insurance providers - call your Private Health Insurance company to find out how much rebate they can provide for Clinical Psychology

  • NDIS

Mary is able to accept NDIS funding through self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients, provided that the therapy is in line with the NDIS plan goals.

When NDIS funds are used to pay for your appointment, you will be charged the rate set by the NDIS for Clinical Psychology, which is $244.22 in South Australia.

Payment is required on the day of your appointment. Once your payment has been received you will be sent a receipt so that the NDIS can refund you the cost of the appointment.
